I have been committed to this for a few days now and know it is the answer for me. However I have been very confused about what is next. I can already feel the freedom that exists in this program and I know it is what I am supposed to be doing but I have no idea exactly what I am supposed to do.
I did some research about food plans and found a great web site that spells some details out for me. And I sat there reading it crying with just about each new word. Can I surrender? Can I actually do this? I think I can but I am scared. I think this goes back to a few days ago I heard a speaker in a telephone meeting, who said people facing recovery are afraid of withdrawals and just want to wake up the next morning with everything all better. This is a true truth. Which also goes with my devotion reading from Hungry Heart Devotional. "And you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free" John 8:32 "The first step to freedom is being honest." Honestly, this is going to really hard, but I can do it.
I think I need to to the 301 plan. Three meals a day, nothing in between, one day at a time. I need to weigh and measure. I need to abstain from ice cream and chips for sure. I need to not eat standing up. I don't want to make things too difficult. I can do this.
My mom always said when I was a kid that crying is evidence of feeling sorry for myself. So I need to stop it and get on with recovering.
